H-Craft Championship now on Android

Post by CuteAlien »

Hi everybody!

Another irrlicht-powered game will be released quite soon.
We are two independent game developers calling ourself irrgheist (just a coincidence) and our first
game is called "H-Craft Championship".

It's an scifi-racer which will be released for windows and linux. The game is currently in alpha state and we
will get the beta out within the next few weeks. You will read about it here ;-).

For now we have some screenshots and more info can be found on our webpage: http://www.irrgheist.com/

Edit: As H-Craft is now released the demo can be found on our homepage.

For those who are interested we did also put online our slightly modified engine version. It's a wild mix of patches, minor improvements, ugly hacks, does mix irrlicht version 0.14 up to current svn versions and includes also some things from spintz (mainly VBO's).

Thanks for the nice feedback :-)

@RapchikProgrammer: We expect to finish the beta in January. I hope for the first week, but experience tells me that it could also take a little longer.

Thats awesome!

You should consider selling that, I know people that have made games with Game Maker (in 2D) and where able to sell them.

Just make sure you release a demo for use first :D

I agree you should sell this, also if your making it for windows and linux then it shouldnt be too hard to port to Mac, good money in that sector. But release a demo first! :D

I think releasing a demo and selling it is a good idea too. But I'm sure we won't mind if the full version is free =p

Trailer looks impressive anyway, can't wait for the beta =D

A demo will certainly be released. As for a Mac port, well, we would really like to do that, but the main problem is simply that we currently don't have a mac. Still we planned for porting to Mac from the start, so all libraries used in the game are said to run there.

Oh, and we're working on this game fulltime (we did both quit our jobs in the gameindustry before going independent) so yeah, we hope we can sell it :-)

We finally made it :-)

Here's a playable beta demo of h-craft championship:

http://www.irrgheist.com/beta_demos.htm

All game modes open (once you finished the tutorial) and several playable levels are part of the demo.

The game will be extracted in a subdirectory and can be started from there. To remove it later on you can just delete the folder. So there are no excuses not to try it out ;-)

We hope very much to get some feedback on this version. You can post it here, in our forums, you can reach me by mail and very often i'm also reachable in the #irrlicht irc-channels on irc.freenode.net

Have some fun ;-)
