Hm, already de-installed. But it was just some general exception fault. In debugger it looked like it was somewhere in the irrlicht.dll.
Specs are:
Athlon XP 2600+ (yeah.. still single core)
Geforce 6200 (AGP)
1,5 GB Memory
Windows XP

Maybe you can add some logfile output - then you have a chance finding such troubles.

tried the game on my debian unstable 64 bit just now
didn't play too long but it installed and ran

issues were:
- no mouse cursor (which made the game very difficult)
- ran extremely slow (normally i can run pretty heavy stuff with no issue)

if i had played the game before i probably could have had an easier time without the cursor, but given that i wasn't exactly sure what to do it was a bit difficult

i understand that you're still in the development phase so porting to other platforms isn't top priority... but i'm hoping once the competition is done and the smoke has settled that you'll consider porting this game.... because it's probably the greatest idea for a casual game i've ever heard of :p

thanks for the update aanderse. Thats pretty cool that it ran through WINE. The game does have a bit of a learning curve so I hope you'll give it another shot.

We should have another build ready to be released in a week or two that should help performance and lower the system requirements.

I'll be sure to update the thread with what was done.

Thanks again for the feedback

I like this game! I wish for more. My "wife" was especially attractive in her dress at the end.

Tried to run it on Windows 7 64bit, it displayed the startuplogos, but then it was all black, tough I could see the cursor(Octopus 'hand').

Did you happen to skip out on installing DirectX 9 when you installed the game? This is needed even if you have DX10 or 11 because they're actually really not compatible with one another.
