have u told devc++/msvc which directories to look for the lib/include files in?
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
And the buffer's interupted and the interupt's not caught,
Then the socket packet pocket has an error to report.....

yes, and it gives the error message
LIBCMT.lib(osfinfo.obj) :error LNK2005:_alloc_osfhnd already defined in LIBCD.lib(osfinfo.obj).
(I have also tried to compile the DONUTcode from
the terrain tutorial link site.It says that it cannot create the rc file.) :(
Please help.

I tried to compile Sir Knight's code, but it was giving me the error with vc6.
Then I thought I will study the code from Saigumi to see how it is done.I downloaded the donut code. i can't compile it because vc6 is saying it can't
create rc file.
Please help me with the terrain code from Irrlicht site first or both.

sorry, i dont know,
in such a case, where the error-message isnt clear, you can try to uncomment one function after the other and try to compile to isolate the error (and when you know the function, one line after the other...)

"LIBCMT.lib" indicates that you might be trying to compile with a multithreaded runtime library. Try to switch this to single threaded. The VC++ linker also supports a flag /FORCE:MULTIPLE that allows to link images with multiple defined symbols, maybe devcpp's linker supports this flag, too.

Cheers.
