So, who has enabled those mouse trailing in their (win) OS?

Post by Quall »

I just compiled the irrlicht dll for the first time with some minor changes to the engine. I started my game and was getting about 20-30fps, from 500fps. I was thinking that I had bad settings in VS2003. I went in changing everything, trying to optimise it all going crazy :(

Turns out that I was only getting a slowdown when the mouse was over the window. I had also turned on mouse trails today!?!?

I just wanted to say beware! If you think you are doing something wrong when you are getting less than half the fps you'd thought you'd be getting, you should check for that stupid mouse trails option.

LOL sounds like a problem windows would have.

"You must have 2GBs of RAM and a Geforce 7800GT to use a trailed mouse."
