Applying different effects to a mesh??

Post by Dark_Exodus »

Hi

I’m trying to add the water effect to my Q3 map only it’s applying to everything.
How would I, map the water effect to different areas on my map?

Is there some kind of coordinate system?

Thanks

each mesh can only have one material associated with it, and I believe a bsp is loaded in as 1 big mesh

Is that the case with all Meshes? Or is that a limitation of the engine?

I'm kind of new to 3D programming :?
