Still going well with my project, Iamar, recently, we finished the main map of the campus. here is a video of our progress.

I am still looking for volunteers to do some art work, I am doing the programming and the art work myself, but it is just alot of work. Any UV map arts that's looking at building a porfolio let me know.

yeah , the program , at this point , although very very hacked , works. It runs on both linux and windows.
you are able to run around almost exactly like world of warcraft, even the networking works so 2 people can be on seperate computers and see each other's character running around. (kinda jerky right now) Right now, only 2 people can join, until i build a central server.
It currently runing on my own Peer to peer structure that are webed together to act as a virtual central server.
As you might see from the other videos, I was using md2 format simply b/c i had nothing else. Everything was standardized to md2, so in light of our new b3d format (thanks to luke) I decided to move everything to b3d format due to the skeletal nature.
It works but there are some of the things i really should improve before i give out demos. And I am still no where close to finishing the project.
Here are things i still need before the actual release.
1. Building a central server to keep track of everybody. I already build my own UDP/TCP library, and p2p lib
2. Art work, I have been using irrlicht so far, I recently became an artistic programmer, modeling is easy, but UV mapping is kicking my rear. Please sent me any blender uv mapping tutorial (i already found a lot online, but i'm sure not all) I want to learn how to actually paint on the object
3. standardize mesh to md3 (need to change my animation library altogether)
4. integrate openAL
5. Integrate VOIP
6. Documentation, holy god, i can't even imagine
anyway, alot of work ahead of me....
Oh , for my video, i need a way to compress my avi files, i want to compress it to divx format.
the quality in google sucks, I would like to store my high quality demo somewhere else, any suggestions?

Cool lots to do but it's also cool the amount you've done, frustrating i'm sure that you do loads and then you're not really any nearer the end of the project when it's so large
You can upload videos to photobucket.com but i'm not sure if they set a max size or anything or how much space you have so that may not be the best place. Alternatively there's mediamax.com which i found for hosting my demos and such, but again i'm not sure if there's any max size limit but you have 2GB of space to play with on the free version.
