Eclipse

Post by slang »

Eclipse 3.2 is fantastic for C++ IDE...

From what I have seen... I beats CodeBlocks, and dev-c++ by a mile...

Also, the learning curve is not steep...

I don't like how it uses Java... but nothing is perfect... It may not be fast on my PC but it's options and the way it handles projects etc. are way better in my oppinion...

Just though I would let you guys know. I have herd of eclipse but was discourage by hearing it was coded in java, but to my surprise. It is fantastic!

BTW, I am new to the forum.

I am not new to Irrlicht however. Quite the contrary. I have followed this engine for a few years and I am very impressed with the improvements...

Although the games that are made with irrlicht seem lacking.... :? But that is okay, I will try not to generalize all Irrlicht users.

Anyways... Great engine! (and license  )

You managed to follow the engine development 2 years before it actually began. I'd say that it is a very impressive achievement. Congrats :)

Eclipse IS very good. I was introduced to it back when I was a Java developer (using the IBM Websphere environment), and have just come back to it for my cross-platform development (i.e. using gcc for Win32 & Linux development).

Another nice thing about it is the Squirrel debugger :)
