Easiest way to evaluate Ubuntu

Wubi is an unofficial Ubuntu installer for Windows users that will bring you into the Linux world with a few clicks. Wubi allows you to install and uninstall Ubuntu as any other application. If you heard about Linux and Ubuntu, if you wanted to try them but you were afraid, this is for you.

Yeah, I tried this once and after each system update the OS did not boot anymore. Moreover, the image file approach to Linux disks might give some overhead and thus decrease disk performance.

As I said, it's still beta. And it won't be as fast as regular Ubuntu installation.

But it also doesn't require any partitioning nor MBR screwing which is kind of nice feature for n00bs.
