Mozilla Firefox... Hate it with an ungodly passion only matched by Bush's desire for oil.

hmm..

seems you don't work developing sites...I do, lately...Firefox is amazingly more respectful with css/html standards, among other things than any IE...

Even Opera respect em less than Firefox. Still a lot better in that IE.

is a royal hell, too often , that IE 'good boy'...

That is so hilarious! The whole sentence!

This too! Do you realize that avant is kind of like a wrapper on IE? Unless you find some freaky config to run IE through wine, and (this is assuming for some reason that Avant did have a linux build [???]) you have Avant using it somehow, I doubt there's much reason to try.

Sorry you... don't like Firefox?

Now why are IE and Netscape grouped together when Netscape and Firefox are basically the same browser with a different name.

I always thought of them as the same thing basically, not sure why. When I was little netscape and ie looked almost exactly the same so I just assumed they were. I haven't kept up with them lately though.

No, I don't like Firefox and Avant isn't available on Linux.. I only wish it was.

MSDOS: Arachne
Windows: Firefox
FreeBSD: Firefox
Debian: Iceweasel (Firefox rebranded)

Internet Explorer and Netscape use completely different rendering engines; Netscape uses Gecko now, Internet Explorer uses Trident. The original Netscape was based on work by NCSA Mosaic, if I remember correctly.

Ntescape, when chosen the rendering engine gecko and not ie, it seem to act with css in a quite good way with css and html. But I refer to NS 8 or + .... 4.x is a nightmare.

well its still the exact same browser (just a flag in compile time to debrand it as Firefox), so why bother?

Firefox here. Opera looks good too, from what I've seen.
