I find it surprising how fast Epic Games works with the UE3. It has only been 2 years since the last Gears of War 360 version, 1 year or less since the Windows port, and 1 year since the Unreal Tournament 3 release.

Yeah, I'm was just saying, it's pretty amazing. And your probably right about the pool of code, because the only difference between the two their seems is that there is actually a storyline to Gears of War. Other than that, the characters, their movement, the levels, and all that look the same. But that is also understandable as that is Epic Games's "style".JP wrote:i'd expect them to be the quickest to work with it seeing as they made it themselves so have all the inside knowledge and quick support for it.
And to be fair GoW and UT are probably pretty similar in most aspects so they've probably got a big pool of code which is shared between the two.
But overall their workflow is so awesome, as you can see Bungie didn't even get their Halo game ported over until some 3 years later or so. And they also don't work as fast on the exclusive games they do make. The abilities of UE3 are pretty sweet when you can within 3 years make two AAA games for PC, PS3, and 360.
