Quoting outsourcing of Irrlicht porting for BREW + OpenGL|ES

Post by TexPine »

Hi developers,

I've been using Irrlicht since our Lex Venture project (http://www.lexventure.com) and I really like this engine.

But nowadays I have 3D game projects for the Qualcomm's BREW platform and I'm lacking a quality game engine. So I would like to quote with an experienced developer a possible outsourcing of an Irrlicht port for this platform, also porting OpenGL|ES 1.1 Commom as the renderer.

It is not required that the BREW device and the OpenGL|ES device implementations features everything that existent devices do. For example, I'm aware OpenGL |ES 1.1 doesn't feature shaders so no shader from the present OpenGL device is required. BREW device also doesn't have a mouse or a windowed mode to be implemented.

If any experienced Irrlicht programmer is interested, please contact me privately at tex <at> texpine.com for further talks.

Thank you very much, 8)

Just a cautionary note that anyone tempted to take this on should be aware that BREW is an aggressively idiomatic platform. Don't kid yourself that you can pick it up as you go.
