I use a combonation of lightmaps and GImaps and combine the two in photoshop. The lightmapping is done in 3dsmax with Vray.
I understand that the default of mixing these both the original map(S) channel 1 with the light/GImap Ch.2 is 50%.
Question. What is the best way to reduce the transparancy of the lightmap further to say only 30%. I have saved these out as a PNG but affecting the alpha does not seem to work. I am only working with the resulting mesh in Irredit and would like to see the results here before I bring it into the engine.
Do I have to script it in irrlicht or can I affect the PNG somehow so I can immediately see the results in irredit and possibly do away wit the coding part.
A prod in any direction would be greatly appreciated
