Serializing various 3D Models to .irr??
I loaded a 3DS model from a folder. Then i saved a scene in .irr file. Now if i remove the model folder to some other directory and then reload the scene, the Irrlicht fails to read the scene from the disk indicating the path error. This implies that only the path of the mesh or the model is stored in .irr file. Is there any way to store the model in .irr itself?
no

that's right, but not the mesh/model itself, just its states...abhishekdey1985 wrote:AFAIK is Serialising is a technique of storing a current state of an object to a file.
well, there are mesh writers in 1.5 (Collada, stl and OBJ) but then you have the same problem: an irr file for the states and seperate mesh files...
the only way would be to write your own writer and loader that suits your needs...
