compiling problem - code::blocks (ubuntu)

Post by miroslav_karpis »

Hi All,
I have just built Irrlicht on linux and wanted to try the first example - in code::blocks, but I got following error:

.objs/main.o: In function `main':
/media/Data/01SourceCode/99_extras/irrlicht-1.5/examples/01.HelloWorld/main.cpp:130: undefined reference to `irr::createDevice(irr::video::E_DRIVER_TYPE, irr::core::dimension2d<int> const&, unsigned int, bool, bool, bool, irr::IEventReceiver*)'

Code: Select all

	IrrlichtDevice *device =
#ifdef _IRR_OSX_PLATFORM_
		createDevice( video::EDT_OPENGL, dimension2d<s32>(640, 480), 16,
			false, false, false, 0);
#else
		createDevice( video::EDT_SOFTWARE, dimension2d<s32>(640, 480), 16,
			false, false, false, 0);

#endif
	if (!device)
		return 1;
line 130 is: createDevice( video::EDT_SOFTWARE, dimension2d<s32>(640, 480), 16,
false, false, false, 0);

Pls. does anybody have some tips to solving this????

You have to link against the Irrlicht library. Did you use the provided cbp file?
