what happens to these bugs

Post by atcdevil »

Some of these bug reports seem to go unacknowledged by Niko. So I'm worried that they don't even make it into official releases. What's happened in the past?

Unfortunately:

Fix Bugs has been an item on the development list for the last 3-4 releases (iirc, it hasn't changed much either :\)

What do you expect form Niko? Should he stop the engine's development for bugfixes?
Do them yourself, if they make you mad and send him your source.

I don't understand what you're trying to say.

I recently found one bug. And posted it here. If you look at the other threads on this board, there many other bug fixes that are made by the community.

If doing bug fixes makes me mad??? What are you talking about?

And I have. And I see many other people on the board that post source code. What I'm worried about is if there is any point to sending in source code. I'm worried that these fixes don't even go into official releases.

Send them to the CVS (http://irrlichtnx.mmdevel.de). We are still waiting if niko will adept things from the CVS :)

From what i've seen/heard, some if not most, do not, which is very very bad.

We're practically doing a lot of work for niko, he just needs to add them, but he seems to not :\

I'm trying, but I've not that much time. Try the CVS as bal said, that is a good place for this.

8) I just read in the other thread that you'll actually use the cvs for bug fixes... that's great!
