Me and my team have begun building a Massively Multiplayer Online game for the adult community. I know this has been done before but with my knowledge in online games (yes i have participated in creating them before, like RLC) and the adult community, we think it will top what is already out there.
It is set in a city called 'The Strip' where anything is possible, Buying and selling real estate, creating custom content, opening custom stores.
We even have room for video downloads and live movie streaming inside the client, in ingame movie theaters and video stores!
We will be integrating the social networking and dating site muscle of 'dolphin'.
What we are doing:
-Integrating 'Dolphin' social networking db tables as the mmo db
-Creating new payment db kept in encrypted sql table
-Building the City (cant screen you atm or ill be killed)
-Coding the client/server package communication
-Modify the client and make character creation possible
-Creating custom scene generation and triggers
-Creating Voice server (for speech and radio ingame)
I cant go into too much detail on the project or ill be killed
Anyways,
-we currently have around 3 php coders (for the website/social networking/ sql)
-we have 2 C++ and java coders
-we have 2 3d artists and renders
-and we have 1 networking person for videos and traffic (for sponsorship on the mmo)
We are Recruiting 3d artists and irrlicht coders on the team too if anyone is interested
