Extensions in Visual C++ express?

Post by 3DModelerMan »

Does anyone know a way to install the microsoft extensions? I want to use the export template wizard and a few others, but I can't figure out how to install anything. It said no third party extension support, but the ones I'm downloading are from the visual studio gallery web page.

The express versions don't support any Add-Ins...
Software documentation is like sex. If it's good you want more. If it's bad it's better than nothing.

Oh, I thought I read somewhere that you could get express edition addins. What about XNA Game Studio though? that's an addin, can you recompile the open source ones somehow?

XNA (and Silverlight add-in as well) is different, because MS specifically designs the Express editions to be run with those.
