advantages of orthogonal
advantages of orthogonal
I would like to know what are the advantages of using an orthogonal projection to implement an isometric view. I made a simple demo using normal view and seems to work.
ru guo ni yao ai, ni jiang bu hui shi qu
No fisheye effects.
No depth or perception translation. (Things in the back do not get smaller.)
Isometric and orthagonal just seem to go hand in hand.

The green grass castles are ortho.
The two blue backgrounded pictures are the exact same scene, one is ortho and one is normal perspective. Notice the tiles on the sides getting wider and the ones going back getting smaller on the perspective?
