Just curious Devsh; what is it supposed to be? Also why do you always submit something early and than replace it near the end of the competition, why not just wait to post?

3D Factory

Title: 3D Factory (Project for a client demo)
Notes: Despite that "professional look" (or sort of), the author is short in c++ and irrlicht skills, the result is great only thanks to the simplicity and power of "our loved" IRRLICHT! ;)
Features: Has a simple first person camera view, simple objects collision script, 3D audio (very basic), and has some interactive stuff (switches for the lights, fans, alarm and magazines in the office).

This 3D project, with the XEffects, developed by BlindSide, with real time shadows... is awesome!!
Unfortunately the FPS rate comes to 8 or 10 only, in my PC, that´s why i´ll not use it... by now...

You can download the full project from here (MS Windows binary only): http://sites.google.com/site/jorgerosaportfolio/
And the audio script is here: http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=42649

(sorry my english)

XEffects is by BlindSide. Hope he's ok, didn't see him around since the quake in NZ.

Only one screenshot allowed per project and month. Please choose one from your two shots, and reconsider submitting the other one next month.

Yeah, I`m also worried about him. We can hardly imagine what all these people are going through... :?

This is for the early stages of development. but after suffering with Panda3D and it's physics, I switched to Irrlicht.

This is a screen of a stage of our open source game Smash Nation, based on on Melee and Brawl

I'm not the owner of the project. I'm the lead developer.

EDIT: Water shader has some work to be done, I found a good one here in the forums but I need to tweak it some more but here's a new screen

Nice water shader (or is it part of the skybox?), but the baked crepuscular effects in your skybox make the horizon too distinct breaking the illusion of reflection on the water

Other than that, nice and clean, good luck with the project ;)

Looks like part of the skybox to me. The area close to the view is pretty blurry and lacks definition. Who knows though

It's a skybox.. for now.

I will put the water shader once I finish setting up the framework for physics, audio and such. and to translate my python code from panda3D to Irrlicht. I had a water shader there but I don't want to cheat here

I will update once done, in a few days with the water shader for the complete effect

Damn my Super Smash Bros. Clone project with server->client, online physics and kirby with a trollface on it pales against that. :D

My first entry:

Super Smash Bros. Clone net test:

Btw, the performance is around 500 fps normally, but that time I have ran 2 clients and a server simultaneously. :D
