Free 3D models site

Post by wsw1231 »

I have searched the key word "Free 3D models" in Google but almost all the site provides models in .max format.

I open .max file by 3DS Max but there is always an error window poped up.

Even if there is something that can be seen, that thing has no texture on it....

I just want to get some models mainly for kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. Are there any "good" free 3D model websites recommended?

It is no doubt that there are many 3D objects in the site you provided, but most of them are not free :(

well turbosquid is one of the biggest.

i think this one you know:

http://www.3dmodelfree.com/3dmodel/list468-1.htm

btw you also could convert 3d models to another file format or import them into free tools.

Anyway usualy someone who has the money to buy 3DS max should be able to pay a price for a 3d models which are cheaper than autodesk software. :)

Yes, I know this one, but I think most of the models are in .max format in that site which somehow cannot be loaded in the 3DS Max.....

It would be better if there are some sites containing .3ds or .obj format models, but I know there are just few.

Arghh now I am finding a 3D model of a television but it is really hard to find one.

It would be time-consuming if I create models by myself since I have no experience at all :(

Be careful not obstant. Several of those meshes are copyright protected as i have noticed they are extracted from games (Resident Evil 5 and Need for Speed just to mention some)
