***Firefox***

Hello everybody. I just wanted to say that this is my first post using Firefox 1.0 , the new open-source browser.

I downloaded it today and started to play with it, and I must say that I like it.
It's seems to be a bit faster than Internet Explorer and it is not buggy.
There is also a "google bar" next to the address bar to help searching sites, very good idea.

I recommend it to everybody

May one day open-source software rule over the world!

I use mainly Netscape and Firefox.
There are only some problems with JavaScript for some sites.

Hmm. I'm still using FF 0.8. I don't really see a reason why I should update. Other people told me that 1.0 caused memory-leaks etc and some extensions don't work anymore.

Not anymore. Yesterday, they released final version 1.0. It's already installed on my PC.

0.8 has those tab-features too. Anyways, just upgraded to 1.0. One big plus is the speed of the GUI. It's a lot faster than 0.8 imo.

0.8 had some security issues. Firefox is legendary for not having IE's problems regarding to security, so having a version around there with these bugs needed to be fixed. That's where 1.0 comes in.

And yup it's faster, and yup some extensions stop working but it's only a matter of time while they upgrade them for the latest release!

me too. Too bad Opera is commercial. But Firefox is a great alternative, with a beautiful design, and an interesting extensibility.

For all of us who were trying 0.8,0.9 and pre1.0, RC1, and RC2...we've been Guinnea pigs!!! check this link:

lol!!! can you believe it?

But official 1.0 is the result of all these flaws getting tested!!!1
