Irrlicht Forum - Follow Topic Plugin

Post by sudi »

I am inteessted how many of you use Firefox to browse the irrlicht board.

Ok for all the people who use firefox to browse the forum i got a little gimmic here. It allows you to track topics and informs you in your browser that there are new posts in the topic.

How it works:

When the addon is installed you will see a subscribe button and a button with post on it.
When you are in the forum reading a topic and you click subscribe the the topic will be checked for changes from now on.
clicking on post opens your check window. There you can unsubscribe and directly go to the topic.

When there are new posts in one of your topics a red "!" will be on the post button and in the watch window will be a the number of new posts.

PS: This addon works for all phpbb3 forums so not just the irrlicht forum!

Have fun!

We're programmers. Programmers are, in their hearts, architects, and the first thing they want to do when they get to a site is to bulldoze the place flat and build something grand. We're not excited by renovation:tinkering, improving, planting flower beds.

Somewhat biased topic-title. Maybe you should name it Browser-poll or something like that. Otherwise mostly firefox users will check it out.

And i thought you were just using
irrRenderer 1.0
Height2Normal v. 2.1 - convert height maps to normal maps

Step back! I have a void pointer, and I'm not afraid to use it!

I'm using Opera and Internet Explorer equally, with different purposes though. IE9 privacy settings are way better then most browsers while Opera has the advanced tab advantage.

Beside that, i'm using almost all of the listed browsers every day for debugging and development.

And please keep in mind that the tool checks the webpage for every watched topic so try to not overdo it....
