I have some toughs of xml based world file format for outdoor games maybe indoor too. :D

Well if you have some ideas share them and we can start a discussion about it :) These forums seem to be moving a bit slow lately, probably because I'm waiting for a reply from niko lol.

mim format is xml , supports lightmaps and has already been done...with a set of tools, and an irrlicht loader.

even an artist like me could change in the xml the type of lightmap for different effects...

I have tested last version to work great.He's polishing one that will be up in surely days ifot up already.He really wanted to make it really easy.Though already was :)

dunno if is up or not, this very last version.
but if not, will be very soon :)

Well... For outdoor use. Praks, c ity, etc. and placement of objects, houses, trees, etc.

curious....

there's even an xsi supporting anim...

I may prefer md5 as next format in anim for irrlicht, though

(ease of parsing/coding, script access of anim channels, IK, blend anims, normal maps in file, camera and light animation ported with it....GMAX support! ..yup...recently, it got it....so much better than md3...)

of course, many of those mean engine new code..but the format is prepared....

But imho x is doing fine, for now.
