New** IrrDev Center **5/01/05** New site look uploaded!

Post by Joe_Oliveri »

Hello,
I have great news for all you Irrlicht Developers. I will be creating the IrrDeveloper Center. This is an idea I came up with while writing my Sales Statistics for games document. I really had fun writing it, and I wish to spread more knowledge.

The IrrDeveloper Center will be a 100% free site for Irrlicht Developers. I plan on re working the tutorials on the Irrlicht Main site and Exporting them into the Adobe PDF format along with companion source for the compilers.

With some work this could become a great tool for all the Irrlicht Developers.

Please keep an eye on my website for up-dates I will try to get a basic site up in a short while. I have my game project to work on, as well as this site so it may be slow at first but once everything is running smoothly this will because another great part of the Irrlicht Community. :D

Nice site. Minor issue with the color scheme, the letters are a bit
tough to focus on ( more pronounced at 3:00 am). I think if you
lighten the letters just a bit, they won't be so rough on the eyes
and you don't have to change the color scheme. Just an observation
and not knocking the site. Best of luck.

What font are you talking about the Black or White? Make the black lighter? Maybe the color of the border?

OK I see what you are talking about. However that is not the site I have a link a few post down from there with the real IDC site. I will up-date that link as well.

The is just a temp, site for my game project. That site will be redone completely once the project is ready for the public. :D

Err, not to be picky but it's "Submit" not "Summit"
I don't like the colors (not that much of a blue fan).

Otherwise, great work, keep it up.

Ok, thanks for pointing that out. I work on the site at like 2am so there will be a few typos. Also the colors are based on the Irrlicht main site.

Zardoz - Yes I do plan on making better documents on how to use Irrlicht. I may or may not add examples to the Manual becouse that is something Niko is doing and I dont want to butt in and knock off all the hard work he is putting into it.

The IDC site will basicly be a place to find the tutorials for Irrlicht that are posted all over the net. So people dont have to keep posting repetitve questions on these forums.
