Some software I have run across that might benefit someone.
Escultor 2.0 -A free low polygon 3D editor with an independent texture management. http://www.geocities.com/miguel_pineda/
Extreme Wave 3D -An ambitious project to create a feature rich, extensible 3D modeling environment. Currently emphasizes povray export for scene rendering, but support for other formats are planned. Program will eventually include a native ray tracer as well.

gSculpt - gSculpt is planned to have features for drawing polylines, using translational sweep (extrude) and rotational sweep (lathe/spin) to construct meshes from polylines, and transforming/deforming polylines and models.
Other possibilites include a scene editor, multiple path extrude, and import/export filters for common 3D data formats.

Polywog - A free, simple 3D-modeling program creates and edits 3D polygonal objects. Versions available for Win95/NT or Amiga.

Sced - Sced is a modelling program that makes use of geometric constraints to edit objects in a virtual world. The scenes created can be exported to a variety of rendering programs, including:
POVray
Radiance
Rayshade
RenderMan(R) compliant programs, such as the Blue Moon Rendering Tools
VRML browsers

Voxel3D - It is a voxel based 3D modeling software, designed for 3D beginner, create models easily by using the 2D painting technique.

I hope someone can get some use out of these
some 3D modeling programs
whoa! there are some interesting tools there!
thnx for linking them!
you might as well add them to the irrlicht wiki:
