Didn't know anything about it.

Doubt I'll use it for awhile though I'm sure my friends don't have it.

I recommend looking into VLC Player from the google tool list. 8)

i'm using it. daniel.theanaconda

Nice that its a Jabber client rather than something proprietary. This could be a big push at getting jabber implemented more universally.

I'm using it: johndisanti
It has been VERY reliable so far, unlike MSN from my experience.

im afraid my experience with google talk is similar to that with opera, its a bit of a disappointment.

for a few days now, my 6(!) contacts have not come online, and i'm following their example.
there is just no point in having yet another IM client running.
in fact, i find that all IM communication is unproductive, and is more of a distraction than a tool
to help gather information, as opposed to IRC, which I find very informative and educational.
I always join the channels that discuss things i find interesting or want to learn more about, like #irrlicht, #netpanzer and #wings3d on irc.freenode.net

anyway, back to topic:

in my opinion, google talk failed.
lets see if google's next experiment will be more succesful.
if you're looking for me, start looking on irc, i'm probably there.

I've wanted to try it, but my Internet is still down on my experimenter's machine.

I actually like IM, but only because I use a multiple client (like Trillian or GAIM (which I tried with, but didn't like the interface) ), and have lots of contacts. Most contacts are in my time zone, so I actually get a high degree of hits.

The only thing I really desire in an IM client is a "mini-email" capability so I can "post" a "note" to somebody who currently isn't online, that I could be sure would appear when they logged on next (spamming oppertunity, anyone?)
