I had earlier posted some shots of a Serious Sam / Shadow Warrior inspired Mindless Old School FPS Shooter I was developing...

Here are some updates :

a) The FPS demo is now called "KABOOM" and the new website is at http://www.mohaps.com/kaboom/index.html

The website is under construction.

b) I created a brand new weapon mounting system and firing code for supporting repeat fire (machine gun), single fire (blaster) type of weapons

also I added a system for animating static 3ds or ms3d models for firing/recoil, bobbing etc. the models you see are non animated models and the engine animates them on the fly...

c) added code for trace, projectile and beam weapons.

d) working on a flamethrower weapon.the particle system is giving me a lot of pain to implement majorly in hit detection


e) added some new free models from the web

also a nifty weapon called the Teleport Tagger is in the works... basically you shoot a tag and you can teleport to wherever the tag is... good for hasty exits.. and getting to hard to reach places... a la Quake III.


note : i do not remember where I got the weapon models ... just found them in my backups.. if the author wants credit and such.. just drop me a mail at log1is0 at gmail dot com.

might ping you for some CSM maps :) mine tend to look like a lot of boxes ... he he

those weapons are top notch scifi arcade style weapons man best of type I've ever seen stellar!

This is really cool i watched ur movies.
i would love to now how u implemented such a collision detection. cause mine sucks....

I'm really locking forward to play ur game :D
