So has anyone successfully done this yet and if not, how close are we? I think we can all pretty much agree it would be amazing. So I was just wondering....yeah....

Yeah, I did it a while ago. Posted a tech demo to xbins last year.

I've been looking at making an OpenXDK port of Irrlicht...but I don't know if I have time.

yah, what was the tech demo? Also, what was supported (how much funtionality)?

The reason he got it working was because he was working at his university and they had the official dev kit. (i think)

I don't think we need to worry about getting the dev kit, just the legal issues.
