Irrlicht CMS, free hosting

Post by bitplane »

I remember a while back I was hassling Skater to make a CMS on his site, so we could have a central repositiory for irrlicht related code, models, shaders, textures, etc.
Anyway since it never happened I decided to start one myself, not only for irrlicht but for game and demo developers in general. The idea is to slowly build up a place that hosts media that's free even for commercial use.

so.. without further ado, I present to you-

http://gdlib.net/

I've split the place up in to files and images sections, then another split, one for stuff that has to be free for all uses, another as a permanent place for you to store any old crap like screenshots, demos, whatever else you like.

I'll try to keep semi-regular backups, so if it ever goes down I can redirect it to my home PC given a couple of days. Maybe one day I can make my first million on product placement for indie games, but for the first few years i expect it to be pretty bare!

Feel free to hotlink images, and if you have any problems just let me know. Oh and if you have files that are too big to upload by PHP, I'll make you a subdomain and ftp account :)

Anyone interested?

Yeah thats awesome Bitplane. Right now I am using Thunderbolt's hosting package but if I run out of space there I can abuse this offer readily. Rock on!
