Well, you could do something like:

IMesh* Mesh = SceneManager->getGeometryCreator()->createCylinderMesh();
SceneManager->addMeshSceneNode(Mesh);

or write a quick patch for the engine itself. In my opinion, these simple Manager->addSphere() functions (and others which simply use CGeometryCreator ...

Someone should create a website about that, collecting all those demotivating hints. Like www.search-coder-for-mmorpg.com or something .

Hm... real 3D physics in a 2D jump and run. I'd really like to see that, that would be awesome. Shouldn't be so hard to implement, too.

I'm not against new features for Irrlicht, it's only that many things have been rejected argumenting, that Irrlicht should stay "only" a renderer. Now, if we go this way, I just asked myself if one should ...

Posts like this make me believe that Irrlicht is a game engine, and not a simple scene renderer as always promoted.
