5 down, 995 to go. No problems so far (luckily none of them had brand new ATI card).
For instance, there is better support for older hardware, but you get anything state of the art, and it's a nitemare. The first time you tell someone they have to install kernel source, recompile the library and do all kinds of modprobe/insmod commands and the list goes on and on, they'll say, ummmm, can't I just click setup.exe???
True. And after you have used the package repository for a while then you'll probably ask "Why do I have to click setup.exe, why I cannot select the program from the list and press Install?". Every OS/Distro have their pros and cons.
