Saturn didnt want to force him to into believing something else. He just noticed that there were no logical arguments that reinforced the belief.

I have the same opion as Saturn. There is no evidence that there is a god.

The thing with the division by zero: I would believe you that you believe you can devide by zero, but i know you cant.
For me knowledge is stronger than belief while other people see this different.

It is senseless to discuss religion. The believers wont change their minds nor will the non-believers do.
Software documentation is like sex. If it's good you want more. If it's bad it's better than nothing.

Ok my last post to this topic .
imagine if i said to u a ship has been created alone and it traveled from country to another without a captain and it it then returned back to it's place!!!
u will say to me the ship must be created by someone it cant be created alone and the ship must have a captain bec no ship moves alone without a captain .
the same as the universe it must have a god to manage it or the sun will be in the moon and there would be no life.

man without god is weak. what is that god? god is a faith that keeps us going on. some ppl may think that they are stronger because they do not bealive in some crap that even doesnt exist but they are wrong. when hard times come and there is nobody around you only shelter is god and your faith, without it desperate man can harm himself or others. relgion is only the way you bealive. i admire musilims for their very strong faith, christians dont have it and probably will never have. bad thing is that bad ppl driven by missunderstanding of this faith does very bad things. in the other hand - what does it mean "good" or "bad"? i think there are no good and bad men. there are only events which are favourable and unfavourable to us. lets say i have a father murderer who killed 10 ppl. government will kill him. its good for community - no further harm, but its bad for me - my father is killed. so as i said there is no good and evil, there is only a way how i see this world. god helps me to see this world a bit better

roxaz, based on that last post, I think you're a terrorist, or at least will be eventually.

God sucks, I'll pimp slap his ass when and if he is real and I see him.

Here, I'll believe in him for a second, with a quick prayer....

And yes, at this point, all kittens would die! But we'll just blame it on terrorists!!!

@omar shaaban: Universe+God >= Universe except when God is something negative. So until you're able to believe in the complexity of an universe without a god you really shouldn't even start to believe in the universe+god thesis except you believe your god is something which takes parts of the universe away. That's the basic problem of all those "look at this complexity - there must be a god" arguments.

About your other argument:
omar shaaban wrote: they are not Moslem but people who fights to defend her self from slavery and conquer like phaelestin and iraq.. and defend islam this is not terroristlism
Well, first of all you brought the Moslems in this topic with your title. Secondly when someone is using terrorism as the method to fight than it has to be terrorism no matter the reasons behind the fight. I guess no terrorist in the world ever did it for the fun of it - they always fight for something in which they deeply believe. And as you mentioned iraq - do you even realize that nearly all people currently dying in iraq do so because of muslims fighting muslims? It's Suni vs. Shia - a schism in islam where most people in the west don't even have an idea what this fight is about.

Why do you guys hate this thread so much? It's definitely something "Other than Irrlicht" and with 4 pages in one day it seems even a topic wich interests a lot of people :-)

The ship was created by the men who created it and there would be a captain and a crew. A ship is really a bad comparison.

The sun wouldn't be 'in the moon', because if the sun got even close to the moon it would completely annihlate it. I don't think we really -need- a moon anyways, with the exception of tides.

There's many theories on how the universe was created and will be destroyed. Some of them are religious, some of them are scientific. Once we all die, we'll find out.

I'd just rather look at what's in front of me rather than believe blindly in a book that men wrote.

So god created the universe? Why did he create tsunami's, why did he create fire, floods, hurricanes, tornado's, lightning, the platapus, bacteria, viruses, Paris Hilton? Why Omar? Does god hate us!?

Is not believing in god a sin? Aren't we all sinners? Are we not born into this world blind, speechless and bare ass? With no capacity to even understand how to walk, let alone believe in a higher construct?

<Raises Hand>

I'll believe it when I see it. So when I die, I'll let you know what I believe in.

I thought I was doing good practicing my beliefs in religion until I saw this....

omar shaaban wrote:I am a Moslem and i want to see what do u think about Islam and what happens in Iraq and Palestine and the "11 September "

In my opinion When i see millions of Moslems dying in Palestine and iraq and then when 1 or 2 or even 100 isreal or american solder die they say Moslems are terrorists
and i think that 11 September was a good lesson for America for what it do for Moslems and Arab but the only thing that was i think was wrong that there were innocent people died in 11 septemper but not as mush as died in Iraq and Palestine.
I think what you are really asking is how does the world view you personally because of all this.

as an American I can tell you before 9/11 I knew nothing about Islam Muslim Iraq or any of this... for me this was educational as Muslim was never talked about much or known to me because there are no Islamic churches no muslim friends.. but I live in the woods where not much happens at all I'm sure city dwellers would be slightly more educated. especially new yorkers as you can find every nation and religion in the world there... many of whom worked at the WTC.

you're right we learned a lesson on 9/11 but to think that our stance has changed more then security and education would be ignorance.

the war on terror is a necessary evil much like religion IMPO I think the entire thing has taken a bad route but the overall goal has always been valid. it seems to be common opinion that anyone actually opposes this endless war. this is not even close to the truth America is not the only country invading Iraq.

my question to you is how you view Americans do you agree with Islamic extremists? even a little? probably.. how much more educated have you become about the outside world and what they will tolerate? are you a saddam sympathizer?

I agree with most everyone on this board... religion isn't appropriete here sure you are free to do whatever.. how about Iraq? are you free there? even close to america?

you won't find many religious among intelligent programmers.
