alot of meshes on one model with bones=problems help

Post by abraham »

ok my team is working on a game and using irrlicht engine engine obvously and im wondering if its possible if i can get my teams female character to animate with bones with 10meshes(like hands, mainbody, sun glasses, holsters ect) without getting all meshes going all over the place and very unstable and some meshes are ALOT bigger then others.

i tried with one mesh but texturing is alot harder.

It is possible but depend on how your programmers work on it. I am not a programmer so I can't give too much comments about this.

I'd recommend that you animate from a single mesh if you are using .X bones.

For the texturing issue, why don't you use UVMaps?
