Just want to say that building and running the examples on Linux has been so straight forward and all the samples run fine. I've been trying to pick an engine to use and in some places Irrlicht was not recommended so I checked out Ogre and CS first. No doubt they are good engines, but just getting them going on Linux was painful. Not wanting to flame the other projects but I think this one is going to suit me well. I was about to give up after spending the past week or so with each engine. Quite frustrated...
One library file too, yay! There's something to be said about simplicity too.
Where is it? I would really like to read arguments agains irrlicht.
There are tons of places... google for it. Don't care about the arguments. I don't think they had used Irrlicht before, they were just comparing the engines by looking at the screenshots and heard the rumours about Irrlicht.
By the way, I saw many nice projects made by using Irrlicht as graphics engine, but none of them were added to the main website. (irrlicht.sf.net)
