thanks GameDude!

hi spooky!
yes, shadows are planned. But my map has trillions of poligons :D and lightmapping the whole scene (even baked) takes like 2 days.
But the IrrEdit built-in lightmapper does a great job so far.

And since this topic has been brought back to life, here are some fresh new screens :

Wow! A large amount of time with no updates and then blam! You come along with some stunning screenshots! Well done! I thought the project was dead but i can see it's far from it!

Is the shader your own or is it Elvman's realistic water scene node?

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it.

Yes, that's Elvman's realistic water scene node, but I'm not sure if I'll keep that because it's eating a lot of fps, and I want to make the game to run smooth on as many systems as possible.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

You could always have it as a setting that you can turn off so low-end PCs can remove it if it causes them problems.

I hope there will be any weasels in game.

I wonder what are the system requirements...

And can I ask if you made this post processing effect or this is fake glow effect or whatever it was called. (because this really looks great)

I guess if you could add motion blur effect (its somewhere around code snippets ) you could have very nice speed effect for example when vehicle hits 20 mph and over motion blur is on. :)

New screenshots look beautiful.

Hard to say now, since it's still under developement and without many features implemented. I'm aiming for :

(min.)
PIV 1700 Ghz
512 RAM
GeForce 6600 (or equivalent) + shader support
1024 x 768 x 32 resolution

And can I ask if you made this post processing effect or this is fake glow effect or whatever it was called. (because this really looks great)
This is fake bloom. But it won't be in the next release because it eats a lot of fps, unless I find a way to speed it up.

Yes, that's a cool ideea.

I'm hoping to have something you guys can beta-test in a month or so (around 1st of november). But that's hard to tell, since I can only work on this game during week-ends.

Thanks for your support so far, and here are 2 more screens with better vegetation :

Nice, it keeps looking realistic with every new screen. I was trying to make my own GTA style game, check the Car Junker post if your interested, but anyways, I am having trouble with graphics. Making them anyways, as modeling is very diffcult for me.

I've created a website for this game.

It's kind of empty right now, but I'll add more info soon.

Bye.

So the game will be open source and I see that there is a download of some sort for it. I'm going to keep an eye on this. I also noticed that it will have RPG elements

Yes it's open source for now, but I don't know how this will change in the future. Perhaps I'll make it comercial when I feel that it deserves it.

The download link is for a previous release of this game (1.4.9), released a ( long :D ) time ago.

Yup, it will have some RPG elements and a customazible character.

bye
