Coming Back Home (released)

Post by Virion »

The previous post is too long so I guess it's better to post a new one. So... everything is consider done. I can't add much things as I'll be offline tomorrow until I reach my college. Finally going to be a college student. :D

Anyway...

Coming Back Home is a mini game about an alien who is on the way going back to his home planet. But there are tons of asteroids floating on his pathway. He has to dodge all the asteroids so that he can reach his home safely.

I still don't understand why!

Some people can launch it but some cannot. Is it driver problem?

Well that is because of an runtime error =)
Are you using visual c++ express bu any chance?
Or the normal visuals aswell.
They need an runtime for the game to be executed on some elses pc.
Just search for visual c++ <version name> runtime on google that should help you out :D

EDIT
I tryed the game it was pretty good i liked it =)
But i couldnt see the textures.
Did you render it in opengl perhaps?
Because im running vista and most opengl programs have a similar problem like that.
Other wise it was very playable and i didnt found any bugs =D

tryed it...the alien is invisible...in other terms unplayable.
We're programmers. Programmers are, in their hearts, architects, and the first thing they want to do when they get to a site is to bulldoze the place flat and build something grand. We're not excited by renovation:tinkering, improving, planting flower beds.

yeah... visual c++ express, and hell yea opengl, because I was plan to make a linux version as well. Hmm, maybe I should compile it with Code::Blocks? And DirectX for windows version. WTF microsoft I hate you!!

EDIT: Compiled using Code::Blocks + mingw. Everything's fine now except the DirectX9... I can't launch dx9 version myself. I'm using 1.4 (not svn). Was directx disabled for gcc?

Yes, it was ever since. You have tom compile your own version with dx9 support, or use one from the forums.
