Programmer myself, but I do enjoy modeling and texturing. Not too good at it though, could never do a human, but ok for static objects. Always nice to have something to fall back on I always say.
I also attempted to do a 2D poker game for a project in a VB class, ran into the same problem with the AI, and did some research on poker AI, the one site I remember running into was the Poki AI site (
http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~games/poker/ ... #RESOURCES) which does the poker AI for games like stacked, and from their site, apparently won a poker AI competition. They don't have the AI source, but some interesting articles to read while on the shitbin.
