stereographic camera

Post by 3DModelerMan »

Could Irrlicht have a stereographic camera type? Stereographic rendering is where it's rendered twice, once for the right eye and once for the left.
That would be illogical captain...

just use two cameras and render the scene twice once with a greenfilter and once with a red filter(all shader) then combine the two images again with a shader...done

You mean it's just a 3D glasses type of thing? I thought it would be
way more complicated. I guess almost anyone could do something like that.

Doesn't need to be red/green either... depending of your method of visualization, say, if you have a viewport headset, you can have full colors on both cameras. As long as you place and orient them properly. Also, de best for you would be to know where the pupil is aimed at, thus knowing which rotation to give to each camera ;)
