Texturing feature request

Could Irrlicht have texture splatting support? But not just for the terrain scene node, I like to use meshes for terrain instead of the heightmap node alot of times so I would need it for both.

Spintz has an implementation that we could steal, but it may use his semi-flexible vertex format

Doesn't blindside have somethign in the pipeline as well, and some other people also posted about up to 8 texture splatting materials some month ago...

Oh yeah that, I'll email what I've got so far after I dust it off. It still needs some work regarding a few mipmapping artifacts though and requires shaders.

Or are you talking about the projective texturing? I suppose that can be used for terrain splatting also...

That could really good to have this!

We could have the possibility to splat things over any geometry like decals (blood, mud, etc.)
