Blender .x export with animations???

Yeas,i tried asking this at a blender forum.
But ive heard many here use Blender and choose the .x format.
I cant export the armature and animations,it just doesnt work!I tried a subdivided box with simple animation to check if my project had bugs,but even this didnt export the animation.I think the Blender script is pretty buggy,because it click on the 'export animations' as well,but nothing: static mesh exported.

I've also not had too much success so far with .X format from Blender. I can recommend using b3d format with the exporter from gandaldf which works a lot better.

Thanks.What are the limits of the format?(max textures,texture resolution,poly count,license)thanks.

CuteAlien,this script doesnt export weights correctly!Some faces move but some stay in their place.Looks spooky!(im using Blend 2.48,irrlicht meshviewer from 1.4)

I don't know about the limits, but I recommend switching to 1.5. At least try out if the meshviewer of 1.5 does work. I am using weights and so far they seem to work, but certainly there's always a lot of stuff that can go wrong.

Might it be the texture(1024x1024)?
The rest seems to be standard with the model,about 700 verts and its triangulated.
Maybe theres a canon to follow when naming the bones or something?

1024x1024 sounds fine. Also I don't know about anything special that needs to be done about bones. I remember now that I had problems when enabling light - I haven't got that working yet (I just disable lighting for now). But I don't know about animation problems. Did you try the 1.5 version by now?

Also - if you can post the model, then someone here might have an idea what goes wrong.

Tried with 1.5,the same.
Fixed.
Reason: more than 1 object,after joining two parts of an object and making it whole,the exported b3d was successful.
Thank you for your time.
PS.However this wasnt the case with .x.I tried joining but its the buggy exporter...

Mmm,the object in Blender is in smooth mode,but when loaded in IrrEdit with light its solid.What can be the problem?

If it is a modifier - those won't be exported, but you have to apply them before exporting.

Well at the most left side of the buttons Window(in Object mode) you can choose 'Solid' or 'Smooth'.No apply button.Maybe theres a modifier that does the same O_o ?
