My models suck.
Have not enabled lighting yet (considering xeffects). By the way any glow shader that I can use?

By the way, why did you feel it was necessary to make a map editor instead of using irredit. Lots of people do this, but I don't know why?

because.... we wanted to. anyway my editor exports custom attributes and I have more control on how it's going to work. I can also making sure it's in par with the latest irrlicht svn because irredit is closed source, therefore it's not possible to do so. but the most important thing is still because we wanted to try/learn to make one. it's like asking autodesk why they wanted to create mudbox since there is zbrush?

Re-textured. I'm not going for fully hand-drawn texture! It's killing me. >_< I'm now using photos and over-paint it.

I've done 20+ models, and I'm now slowly making textures for all of em. At the same time I'm building my portfolio.

Thanks. These are 3 other models that I've just finished.

Oh by the way it's all rendered with Irrlicht. I cut and paste to fit it into the image.

Your models look great Virion! Do you get your textures from a site or do you make them yourself?

for the trees I painted the textures by hand (including the palm leaves, but not the bark of the palm tree). as for the buildings I searched for photos and unedited textures from sites and modify it to fit my needs. (it's hard to find those kind of houses here)

Do you use any specific program to texture those models? I fail at modeling/texturing in general, and I can't do it correctly in Blender.

I'm using Photoshop. Blender's built-in texture paint is also very handy when dealing with texture seams.

I think the house models should have more windows. They look strange right know. Like they are made of one enormous room with one little window on the top. :D
