Hi I am working with small group of friends on singleplayer RPG game called Legend of Armageddon. It will be similar RPG game type as Dungeon Siege
Some of features :
- all graphics is rendered by Irrlicht
- engine is using MD3 models with animations, model states (DEAD,STAND,SIT), skins (for multiple types of armor) and tags (for attaching weapons)
- engine is using 3DS models for static objects with states (example OPENED_DOORS,CLOSED_DOORS)
- engine is rendering terrain created in Milkshape 3D with high texture resolution
- engine is able to render also indoor space created in BSP format
- all maps,models,static objects and animations definitions are in XML
- engine is using AngelScript for scripting support in maps
- engine has integrated particle effects (fire, in the next version also rain,snow)
- engine is using FMOD driver for playing sounds and music (using WAVs and MP3s)
- engine has a dynamic lighting
- engine uses camera controled by user (user may sip around his hero)
- integrated gravity and collision detection (from Irrlicht)
- usefull functions like FindPathToPosition
Note, that most of these features are only designed (=not completed).
Complete stable version will be published online (i hope)

I'm the same person giving away the animated fps model in cfx format, in other trhead.
Any chance you would add directx8 or 9 format (once irrlitch provides it, but it may not be possible) for character animation once Irrlitch have it? or...at least...as worse solution... using md2, or sofskinned OBJs?
imho, dx8 character animation , is the best way for animation, from the artistic point of view.
Not trying to make an artist offer, no way. Just curious,to maybe follow the development. I like fantasy and rpg games, mostly I like orcs, dwarves and stuff. Even when is been so overused. I got fan by reading books many , many years ago, before internet made it so popular...
