Well here I am:
Radio controlled helicopter model simulator.
RCM::Heli. Free version.

It's not yet "eyecandy" since it's only 0.5 alpha, but Irrlicht (curently 1.7.1) does its job for 100 percents for me (I express my thanks to developers and community).

Compiled on WinXp, VC2008 Express (planned to be crossplatform).
Physics: Newton 2.10.

Low alt hovering

Scene is quite simple: 3D heli model (in fact several, linked at runtime), plane mesh with detail texture for ground, some static objects, very simple gradient skydome, and clouds plane with additive texture.

Wow, that is looking pretty good for not being "eye candy." Hopefully we hear some updates on this project :D

I also like the idea. Don't hesitate to make a more informative announcement for your project in the Project announcement forum :-)

Very impressive, indeed. Please choose one of your pics for submission, though, as we only allow one shot per project each month!

Ok.Sorry.
Let's it be this (second) one : http://rcsim.narod.ru/screenshots/rcsim002.jpg
Should I update my initial post? Or please, do it yourself to follow requirements.

Thanks.

Here's a new one from Gekkeiju Online. Showing some of the equipment that was available during Valentine's Day-event.

Image

The terrain uses texture splatting with 11 detail textures, a colormap and precomputed lightmap. It also supports dynamic vertex lights.

Character has simple normal mapping on some of the clothes.

Bloom is done with XEffects.

Hey ... that heli-sim is looking cool. Gotta check it out. On the other hand ... I am a great Star-Wars fan, so Acki's screenshot could also be my favorite.

And now for something entirely different!

If you're thinking "Wait... isn't that just his website?" Well that would be correct, except it is rendered using Awesomium (A wrapper of the Chromium flavor of Webkit)

Right now it is kinda hacked together, particularly in the ways of input. Mouse handling is done, but for keyboard you can only use Q and the left arrow. (I didn't want to rape my project's event receiver just yet)

I am planning to use it for UI eventually, similar to how Wolfire Games is in their game Overgrowth.

Oh, and I'm using the old 1.08 version of Awesomium since it is free and Open Source as opposed to the latest which is $475 for even indie commercial use.

I think he's using Aesomium to render a kind of texture and Irrlicht to render this texture on screen.
