Hi all, I just compiled the irrlicht Q3 map loader example...
The results are very disappointing (imho) :
I rendered the same scene, changing only the renderer.
Ogl (1.3): 059 PFS
Dx (8.1) : 230 PFS
The Irr devs have stocks options in M$ ??
Seriously, I'd like to know why the difference is so huge in Irrlicht ?
(Don't begin this usual endless Ogl/Dx discussion, for God sake)
Will you optimize the Ogl part ?
If U do so, I might use Irrlicht for my game project

With Irr, Dx : 230 FPS, Ogl : 59 FPS O_o

Whats the problem with 60fps? Thats awesome, I read that id is locking Doom III at 60fps. Also, other people have the opposite results that you have with Irrlicht, so it may have something to do with what kind of video card and driver you are using. And Niko just recently got a new computer that has good OpenGL, he said that his old computer sucked at OpenGL so he will be working on improving it.
