also, augmented reality. (or is it mediated reality). What could be better than running around in the *real* world, with space monsters superimposed on top.
The problem with that people want something they can touch. It is like the difference between playing Guitar Hero (or similar game) on a guitar controller or air guitar. Touch helps immersion and takes away a lot when it is not there. In order for that to be successful you need to make some nice force feedback gloves that makes you feel like you are actually holding and touching objects.

wow. that point cloud stuff is cool, but it would be alot better if they had a real artist doing the work, plus, you can tell at cetrain parts of the video that they used polygons to 3d model the objects first and then converted them to point clouds. kind of defeats the purpose...

I like the idea, but if they really want to make it realistic, they're going to have to invent an unlimited physics system too :P

Yeah, once we have thoughts control working, our imagination is the limit.
For instance, imagine an RPG game, where instead of having some predefined sword swing animations, you can swing the sword any way you like. :)

That is called Wii mote

There are already prototype chairs which are controled using the brain electrical patterns. You need some training, but it is already posible.

I would enjoy "playing" with someone like this :P
