Sky box not EHM_STATIC?

Sky box not EHM_STATIC?

I was wondering, why is the skydome set to static, but the skybox is not?

IMHO both should be static, but perhaps there's some disadvantage I don't know of...

Hardware mapping is useful only for high poly meshes, so i guess that's why

But would there be any negative effects? Is the argument that the gains are too small to measure?

From what I've read, there is no minimum recommended amount for a VBO, but there is a maximum (performance will suck with over 64k verts according to Nvidia).

The skydome should be set static as well, yes.
