Re: RainWare
cool. so are you using any 3rd party stuff like for the forums (phpbb2), or for blogging (like wordpress scripts) or are you implementing it all custom? if so that's pretty cool, since it's more secure for your site since you know exactly what the code is doing.

Re: RainWare
I'm using wordpress as a back-end for my blogging system, but I'm using a completely custom interface (not a wordpress theme) so I can integrate it nicely with the rest of the site, and so I can choose to enable/disable or even add any feature I want seamlessly (and because I like re-inventing the wheel)HerrAlmanack wrote:cool. so are you using any 3rd party stuff like for the forums (phpbb2), or for blogging (like wordpress scripts) or are you implementing it all custom? if so that's pretty cool, since it's more secure for your site since you know exactly what the code is doing.
I don't think a forum will be implemented though, I doubt I'll have a large enough userbase for that

Errors found while checking this document as XHTML 1.0 Transitional!
Hope you take it how it was meant. As constructive criticism.

Sure, thanks for the checkrandomMesh wrote:Errors found while checking this document as XHTML 1.0 Transitional!

I'm by no means a professional web designer and it's been ages since I actually did some work with HTML and PHP so my skills are a bit rusty
EDIT:
Fixed all errors I could find, thanks again for the check randomMesh

While posting tools, I've found webpageanalyzer.com quite useful. It gives your site a near-pass, only warning about the number and size of images.

Just finished my media page, I'm using Plogger to manage my images (too lazy to implement something myself), check it out if you have the time!
Re: RainWare
Nice page so far. Why don't you make the images (the last time you click on them to see them full) open in a new windows???

Re: RainWare
I'm using default behavior as defined by Plogger right now; I'm trying to get basic functionality up and running, when that's finished I'm going to start tweaking and hacking/modding, making everything more streamlined and more natural in usesoulless wrote:Nice page so far.
