A skydome out of a cubemap :)

Image

Although it is not actually a screenshot, it is indeed rendered with the help of Irrlicht :) It is the famous cubemap used for almost every example on the engine rendered into a single texture that can be used as a skydome. That's a 1024x1024 version, but it is posible to rasterize it to any resolution.

the 2048x1024 version

X) Funny, we didn't even close out the last competition. And November got left in the dust, lol.
I'd like to see csg submit something. Their Zirkonia is coming along still.

The features are still the same, though, so i guess it doesn't matter much the GL version

Not an easy decision! Mel's algorithm for converting the environment is pure genius, but "that castle" is kick-ass!
Just how was it done? Looks like a point cloud on steroids mixed with super advanced order independent transparent voxels!
If Irrlicht can do that... (must be quite an advanced library like used in BAW or something)
