yeah, but hdr and a material-format like ogre's one should be part of the render-engine, i my opinion so why doesn't irrlicht support that out of the box?
i mean, i dont want physics or character things in irrlicht, but hdr and materials _are_ part of rendering.
Simplicity And necessity Or extensibility
Maybe try Ogre in that case and make your own mind. Or propose a simple way of integrating such things. Maybe someone takes it up.
Hopefully not. I think everyone in the community has expressed that a GAME engine and RENDERING library should be separate. Name it something else, like N00blove Game Engine. Either way, keep it separate and distanced from Irrlicht.
