Terrain bug?

It seems that the first column of vertices ((0,0) is at the right side of the screen) always starts at (x, 0, z). I've tested other heightmaps but it still shows the same result.. is it a bug or am I missing something in the code?

I know that trees are tricky, as few free programs for creating 3d trees exist and I feel that this one should be on the list, it can export animated trees in b3d format (irrlicht compatible) is free and has an interesting license
